Middle Georgia Prep Rises to National Prominence

Founded in 2013, Middle Georgia Prep (MPG) is an independent post-graduate basketball program located in Stockbridge, Georgia, 29 miles southeast of Atlanta. The program serves post-graduate student-athletes from across the country, maintaining an annual roster of approximately 30 players committed to developing academically, athletically, and personally. The Middle Georgia Prep men’s basketball program has earned a reputation as a true college basketball feeder system, preparing student-athletes for success at the next level through national exposure, elite competition, and a proven culture of discipline and development. Playing an up-tempo style built on 94 feet of defensive pressure and transition offense, MGP consistently produces athletes who move on to NCAA Division I, II, and III programs, as well as NAIA and JUCO powerhouses.

Each year MGP competes against top-tier prep schools and post-grad programs nationwide. The program is known for its high-level schedule, and a system designed to showcase players’ athleticism and versatility. Middle Georgia Prep annually vies for national recognition and has earned respect across the prep basketball landscape through its relentless identity and consistent player advancement.

The program is led by Head Coach Aaron Tribbey, the founder of Middle Georgia Prep. Coach Tribbey has built MGP into one of the nation’s most competitive independent post-grad programs through his emphasis on toughness, conditioning, defensive intensity, and holistic player development. He has mentored student-athletes on and off the court, sending 147 players to the next level while guiding them in life skills and the recruitment process. Before founding MGP, Coach Tribbey established himself as a respected developer of talent with strong relationships across all levels of college basketball. Under Coach Tribbey’s leadership, Middle Georgia Prep continues to rise as a national force-built on consistency, high standards, and a commitment to preparing young men for success both in basketball and in life. The team was computer ranked as the # 13 prep team in the nation last year, and is already looking like it will run at a high level of excellence again this season.

Chris Wray (2027) 6’6 point guard - Wray is a long and wiry point guard with tremendous upside. He pays with a high motor on both ends of the floor. Wray has a deceptive first step and shifty quickness, making him tough to contain. He is already a high-level defender for his age, showing maturity beyond his years.

Toby Howard (2026) 6’9 forward - Howard has a high basketball IQ with an exceptional feel for the game. He is an excellent rim protector and anchor on defense. He is a reliable pick-and-pop threat who shoots the 3-ball at a high percentage. He is a proven performer, a big-time player out of Alaska with strong leadership qualities.

Jacob Wrencher (2026) 6'7 shooting guard - Wrencher is a pure shooter with the ability to score at all three levels. He is currently shooting 44% from 3 (16–36). He brings great energy defensively and uses his excellent lateral quickness to get steals and deflections. His excellent size allows him to defend multiple positions.

Jesse Broadus (2026) 6'8 forward - Broadus is a long, versatile wing/forward who impacts both ends of the floor. Defensively, he’s a true switchable piece, using length and mobility to guard multiple spots. Offensively, he stretches the floor with a smooth, confident shooting stroke and smart decision-making. With size, versatility, and shooting, he projects as a modern hybrid forward who fits any system.

Landon Page (2026) 6'2 point guard - Page is a well-built guard who scores confidently on all three levels. He plays with strength, balance, and pace, using his body to create space and finish through contact. His mid-range game is polished, and he consistently makes the right reads out of ball screens. With his physicality, shot making, and command of the floor, he’s a tough, reliable lead guard who controls the game.

Micah Johnson (2026) 6'7 wing - Johnson  is a high-energy big that thrives doing the dirty work around the rim. He sets strong screens, finishes plays and runs the floor hard in transition. Defensively, he protects the paint, rebounds with force, and rotates well as a team defender.

Donovan Henlon (2026) 6'5 guard - Henlon is a long, and rangy combo guard whose defensive impact jumps outs to you immediately. He uses his length, mobility, and instincts to guard multiple positions and erase space on the perimeter. Offensively, he’s smooth attacking closeouts, finishing at the rim, and knocking down open shots. With his size, versatility, and defensive presence, he projects as a high-value two-way CG with big upside.

Jojo Dunham (2026) 6'4 guard - Dunham is a strong, physical guard who impacts the game in every way without needing plays drawn for him. He rebounds like a forward, defends multiple positions, and brings relentless energy on both ends. Offensively, he’s downhill, decisive, and thrives in transition or attacking gaps. He brings toughness, versatility, and a winning mindset, he’s the type of glue-piece every coach wants on the floor.

Jakari Byrd (2026) 6'6 forward - Byrd is a powerful, physical forward who carves out space and goes to work in the paint. He plays with exceptional strength, soft touch, and patience on the block, consistently winning bruising matchups. On the glass, he’s relentless, cleaning up rebounds on both ends and creating second-chance opportunities.

Ryheim Manning (2026) 6'6 wing - Manning is a long, active wing whose energy instantly elevates the pace of the game. He thrives defensively flying around, using his length to disrupt plays, and guarding multiple positions. In transition, he’s dynamic, covering ground quickly and finishing above the rim. His motor, length, and slashing ability, he’s a high-impact wing who changes momentum through sheer activity.

Kentavious Woodbury (2026) 6'5 small forward - Woodbury is a long, hyper-active forward who makes his presence felt through nonstop energy. He defends multiple positions, flies around in help, and covers ground quickly to disrupt plays. Offensively, he excels as a cutter, rim-runner, and offensive rebounder who creates extra possessions. His motor, versatility, and defensive impact, he’s a momentum-changing glue piece who elevates any lineup.

Dayton Harris (2026) 6'2 guard - Harris is a tough, fearless guard who sets the tone with his competitiveness and physicality. He’s a disruptive defender—pressuring the ball, jumping passing lanes, and guarding bigger players without hesitation. Offensively, he’s strong downhill, makes smart reads, and hits timely shots when his team needs them. With his leadership, toughness, and two-way impact, he’s the heartbeat-type guard every winning team relies on.
