2026 4100 Sport Southern Classic
The 4100 Sport Southern Classic is an early-season event hosted by Ashton Black University in Crowley, Texas, just southwest of Fort Worth. Games are at H.F. Stevens Middle School, 940 N. Crowley Rd. What makes the event different is its field: prep and postgrad programs play against college JV teams. That gives prep players a chance to go up against older, stronger opponents who are already in a college system. It's a solid test for the players, and it gives scouts an insight into who can hold up at the next level.
The event also comes at a useful point on the calendar. In early November, most college staffs are still in their own preseason, and these prep rosters are only weeks old. Many of these players are postgrads using a fifth year to add strength, sharpen their skills, and get game film in front of college coaches after being overlooked in high school. Texas and Oklahoma have become a growing hub for that kind of program, and the Dallas–Fort Worth area is right in the middle of it. For a JUCO or college staff looking to fill out its 2027 class, this event offers a full day of evaluations with teams that are still taking shape.
The format guarantees every team a meaningful weekend. On Saturday, November 7, each of the eight teams plays two games. On Sunday, November 8, teams are seeded 1–8 based on won-loss record, with total points scored as the tiebreaker, and the tournament bracket plays out from there. That means every team gets at least three or four games.
