Westtown School 2026-27 Player Profiles

Westtown School, founded by Philadelphia Quakers in 1799, is the oldest continuously operating coeducational boarding school in the United States. The independent school enrolls 687 students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12, with boarding for grades 9–12. Its 600-acre campus in West Chester, Pa., about 25 miles west of Philadelphia, includes a 14-acre lake, an arboretum and an organic farm. It offers advanced courses and independent research, and it keeps Quaker traditions such as weekly Meeting for Worship and a student work program. About one in five students comes from outside the U.S.

Few prep programs in the Mid-Atlantic have turned out as much high-major and NBA talent over the past decade as Westtown. Under head coach Seth Berger and assistant Tyler Martin, the Moose won Pennsylvania Independent Schools (PAISAA) state championships in 2016, 2017, 2020 and 2022. They also won eight straight Friends Schools League titles through 2022 and sent Mo Bamba, Cam Reddish and Dereck Lively on to the NBA.

That track record keeps Westtown on college coaches’ itineraries, and this season staffs can see the Moose early. Westtown also annually hosts the Westtown Invitational in November which always draws attractive college prep team into it's an eight-team field drawn from multiple states.
