
The NEBL Adds Another National Prep Power
The rich are getting richer.
In 2024-25, the New England Basketball League included the top five computer ranked prep teams in the nation, #1 Putnam Science Academy (CT), #2. Newman School National (MA), #3. Cushing Academy Prep (MA), #4. New Hampton School (NH) and #5 CATS Academy Boston National (MA)
For 2025-26, the NEBL just added another national powerhouse. The Darrow School of New Lebanon, NY will be joining the conference. They finished as the #7 ranked team in the nation last year.

Darrow looks like they will be more than up for the challenge this winter. Head Coach Antonio Anderson and Associate Head Coach Brandon West will be running the following key players this season:
Thor Grissom (2026) 6’3 guard - A smooth catch-and-shoot specialist from The Colony High (TX), Grissom brings one of the quickest releases and most efficient three-point strokes in his class. He’s a strong off-ball threat who plays under control and shoots with high-level rhythm—earning praise as “one of the best catch-and-shoot specialists in Texas.” He’s enrolling for a post-grad year at Darrow, a move that highlights his trajectory in prep-level competition. A vocal leader and steady competitor, Grissom’s ability to impact spacing and scoring immediately adds value to Darrow’s backcourt. Plays AAU with Southern Assault (TX). RTB profile
Haisi Mayben (2026) 6'1 point guard - 2023-24 NY State MVP and Section 2 MVP. Mayben is a crafty and dynamic point guard out of Albany, NY, Haisi returns to Darrow following a breakout junior season in NEPSAC AAA. Known for his elite feel, pace control, and ability to break down defenses off the bounce, he’s the engine behind Darrow’s high-octane offense. Mayben also anchors the group on the defensive end, serving as both the emotional leader and tone-setter. Milos Petrovic (2026) 7'1 forward - From Serbia, Petrovic can really shoot it and space the floor. Known for his high IQ and passing ability, Petrovic is looking to make an immediate impact for Darrow. He’s already being recruited by a slew of LM/MM schools and that will only increase once he’s arrives in the States this Fall. Petrovic is also a very elite rim protector
Jack Seiders (2026) 6’7 small forward – From Austin, TX, #9 ranked small forward in Texas by Prep Hoops. 2024-25 District 6A Offensive Player of the Year. Seiders has elite shooting ability and athleticism. Known for his consistency from beyond the arc, Seiders is a true floor spacer with deep range and a confident release. He combines that with above-the-rim finishing, strong positional size, and a high feel for the game. Capable of guarding multiple positions and playing inside-out, he projects as a key piece for Darrow in the AAA this year and one of the more intriguing forwards in New England’s 2026 class. Hunter Te Ratana (2026) 6'5 wing - A high-level athlete from Auckland, New Zealand, Te Ratana is one of the best shooters in the country and a rising star in the NEPSAC AAA ranks. He made an immediate impact in his first season at Darrow, combining elite shot-making with length, explosiveness, and defensive versatility. He stretches the floor with deep range and a quick, confident release, while also attacking closeouts and finishing above the rim. Defensively, he guards multiple positions, rebounds aggressively, and blocks shots with his vertical pop. With a rare blend of athleticism and shooting, Te Ratana is a high-major prospect. Jamison Thrower (2025) 6’4 guard – From W.T. White High, Dallas, TX, Thrower brings athletic scoring and competitive fire to Darrow’s roster. Known for his ability to attack downhill, finish at the rim, and draw fouls consistently, he’s equally comfortable stepping back into pull-up jumpers. Thrower emerged as a top scorer in the UAA circuit this spring, playing with intensity and confidence. A disciplined student with roughly a 3.86 GPA, he complements his on-court versatility with vocal leadership and unwavering toughness. His polished, all-around game is catching the attention of Division I programs. He plays AAU with It’s Fox Nation Basketball. 3.9 gpa RTB profile
TJ Allen (2027) 6’2 guard – 2025 Zero Gravity National Finals Co-MVP. All Independent School League as a freshman and a sophomore. A high-energy, tough-as-nails guard from Boston, Allen brings defensive pressure, physicality, and scoring spark to Darrow’s backcourt. He’s a relentless defender who thrives in full-court pressure and transition, forcing turnovers and igniting the break. Offensively, Allen uses his quick first step and savvy decision-making to get into the paint, score, and create for others. His strong play on the 3SSB circuit drew praise as “one of the stronger scorers in the 16u division” where he showcased his burst and confidence. Nalajah Christopher (2027) 6'2 guard - One of the most promising young two-way guards in New England, Christopher made a major impact as a sophomore in NEPSAC AAA. With a college-ready skill set and a mature feel for the game, he contributes on both ends of the floor—guarding multiple positions, creating shots off the bounce, and making winning plays in transition. His physicality, toughness, and unselfishness set him apart, and he’s rapidly becoming a leader within the Darrow program. With a strong spring and summer ahead, Christopher is drawing early attention from Division I programs, including an offer from Albany. He plays AAU with Expressions Elite. 3.1 gpa RTB profile
Skye Davenport (2027) 6’3 guard - From Arkansas, played limited role on Darrow’s team last season but coaches are expecting him to have an increased role as he is able to knockdown shots and defend at a high level. Davenport is a very athletic guard with a 40 inch vertical, and he is the ultimate competitor. Look for him to have a breakout season. Plays AAU with BABC
Zane Sikaneta (2027) 6'7 wing - From Toronto, Canada - 2024 All Canadian game MVP. A two way player, that can score effectively on all 3 levels. An athletic finisher, will knock down the 3, and has a polished mid-range game. Guards 1-4 with a high motor, physicality and his length, he constantly disrupting teams offences. He is coming off a strong AAU season where he guarded each teams best player, shutting down a number of top prospects. Already attracting attention from multiple D1 programs such as Arizona State and Boston University. Plays AAU with Uplay Canada. 3.7 gpa
Cooper Te Ratana (2028) 6'8 wing - A projected high major athlete just arriving from Auckland, New Zealand, Te Ratana is 2025 Foot Locker New Zealand Nationals 18u All Star and a 2025 Nike Asia All Star. He plays AAU with BABC. Video highlights RTB profile
Benjamin van Bulck (2027) 6’10 center – Van Buick is a powerful interior presence poised to make an immediate impact for Darrow. He protects the rim with timing and verticality, consistently alters shots, and controls the paint on defense. Offensively, van Buick shows soft hands around the basket, where he finishes with authority, and demonstrates promise in pick-and-roll and roll-and-pop actions. With his size, skill, and emerging touch, he commands attention from Division I programs and gives Darrow a true anchor in the post as one of the most physically imposing and fundamentally sound big men in the 2027 class. Yann Kamagate (2028) 7’1 center – One of the most intriguing young bigs in New England, Kamagate is a from Burkina Faso. With elite size, length, and upside. Still developing, Kamagate already makes his presence felt as a dominant shot blocker and rim protector, altering everything around the basket. Offensively, he shows flashes of soft touch and footwork and continues to grow more confident finishing in traffic. With his mobility, instincts, and rare physical tools, Kamagate is an emerging national prospect with long-term DI potential. He plays AAU with Expressions Elite. RTB profile
