
The Hun School of Princeton College Prospects
The Hun School of Princeton is a private, coeducational, secondary boarding school located in Princeton, NJ. The school serves students from sixth through twelfth grades and post grad. The school was founded in 1914 by Dr. John Gale Hun, a professor at Princeton University. Hun was originally called the Princeton Math School. The school usually has an enrollment of around 670 students and a student–teacher ratio of 7:1. 70% of Hun's Upper School students are day students, and the rest are boarders. Students come from 15 states and 27 countries.
The school also has a history of successful basketball teams and placing its players onto college teams.The boys varsity basketball Raiders compete in the high level, college prep Mid-Atlantic Prep League. They also vie annually to get a seed in the New Jersey State Open Championship Tournament.

Sage Mateo (2026) 6’3 guard (Committed to Cornell) - Mateo is an outstanding shooter making 40% of his three point attempts last year. He has been one of the team’s best passers for the past two seasons and knows how to make the simple pass that makes a team better and helps teammates get shots. He has shown tremendous improvement in his strength and ability to get to the basket and finish inside. He can play both on and off the ball as well as guard multiple positions. His aggressiveness shows with his ability to rebound better than most guards. RTB profile
Eshan Kulkarni (2026) 5’11 point guard - Kulkarni is a point guard that can set other players up and score in a variety of ways. He has the ability to shoot the three at a high percentage, get to the basket (finish over bigger players or pass to a teammate for an easy basket) and create his own shot off the dribble. As a defender he has shown tremendous improvement over the years and led the team in charges taken last year. Projected as a high level D3 player. Straight As and a very high SAT score
Charlie Juliana (2026) 5’11 point guard - Juliana has a very good first step and has shown the ability to get by defenders and get to the rim and finish. He is an adequate shooter that can make the three and continues to improve in this area. He also has great off ball movement and understanding of cutting backdoor. Defensively he has the ability to get in the passing lane and come up with steals. He is an outstanding student. Projected as a D3 player.
Blake Hargrove (2027) 5’11 point guard - Hargrove is a guard that can do it all. His ability to find the open man shows in his strong assist numbers. He is a fantastic three point shooter (shooting over 40% last year). His athleticism allows him to get to the rim and finish over bigger defenders. One of his best offensive qualities is his mid-range pull up that he can get off at any time. As an on-ball defender he is incredibly strong and quick and has the ability to keep anyone in front of him. He can also play the passing lane and led the team in steals last year. For a small guard his nose for the ball allows him to rebound as well as big men, he had a season high 15 rebounds in a game last year. He already holds an offer from an A-10 school and has a lot of D1 interest. Projected as a Mid Major player.
Jackson Cullert (2027) 6’7 small forward - Cullert has as quick and smooth a release on his jump shot as you will find. His range is unlimited and he can stretch any defense. He also has the ability to put the ball on the floor and get by defenders to finish at the rim. His athleticism makes him a great finisher and he can dunk in traffic. As a defender he can guard multiple positions, his size and length help him defend against bigger forwards and his quickness gives him the ability to guard on the perimeter and switch onto any offensive position. Julian Van Hoeck (2027) 6’7 forward - Van Hoeck does all the little things that make a team better. He is versatile and has the ability to defend multiple positions. He can put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. He can shoot with range and he can post up and score. One of his best attributes might be his ability to pass. He is a strong rebounder, disciplined in boxing out and can rebound out of his zone. Projected as a Low Major player.
Ben Ayugi (2027) 6’9 center - Ayugi is very strong and athletic and will dunk anything around the rim. He is a very good shot blocker and rebounder. He is developing the skill to play more away from the basket. Projected as a Low Major player. RTB profile
Haytham Elhamri (2027) 6’8 center - Elhamri is long and young and has a lot of upside. He is a strong rebounder and good shot blocker. This will be his first year at Hun and in this country. Projected as a D3 player.
Marshall Douglass (2028) 6’6 small forward - Douglass is a very versatile forward. He puts the ball on the floor very well. He is automatic on his pull up and he is a very good three-point shooter. He is long and can defend multiple positions and can get in the passing lane for steals. Projected as a Mid Major+ player.
