Southern Basketball Academy (GA) Instills Values
Southern Basketball Academy is a high-level basketball program dedicated to preparing student-athletes for collegiate and professional opportunities. It is located in Marietta, GA, a suburb of Atlanta. SBA launched its Post-Grad Program in 2017, and since then, it has helped more than 80 student-athletes earn full or partial basketball scholarships at the collegiate level. The program reports an 81% signing rate and has built a reputation for player development, academics, discipline, and exposure. SBA provides a demanding environment that includes multiple daily practices, film sessions, strength and conditioning, and high-level competition designed to prepare athletes for the next level. Each year the Lions compete in three to five showcase events alongside a schedule of more than 25 games against post-graduate programs, college junior varsity squads, and JUCO teams. This year, SBA will be the host for the American South Regional Prep Championship tournament, who's invitees will consist of the region's highest computer ranked programs. Their season culminates in mid-March at the Phenom Hoops Post Grad Nationals in Rock Hill, SC.
SBA is led by owner and head coach Danny Davis. Davis played collegiately at Shelton State Community College. He brings more than 13 years of coaching experience, including being the head coach at Kingwood Christian School (AL), where he led the Kingwood Lions to two Final Fours, four Elite Eights, and three area titles.

# 0 Caleb Gilmore (2027) 6'4, 180lb shooting guard - From Tampa, FL, where he played at Zephyrhills Christian Academy, Tampa, FL. He averaged 9.1 ppg, 3.3 rpg and 1.2 apg as a senior there. Gilmore is a physical guard with a college-ready body who can score efficiently from all three levels. He is a high-percentage mid-range and three-point shooter. He is a defensive stalwart and a highly coachable player who brings toughness and versatility to the game.
#00 Johnathan Riley (2027) 6'5, 220lb small forward - From Naylor, GA, where he played at Lowndes High, Riley is a skilled, physical forward who can score inside and stretch the floor with his jump shot. He is a strong rebounder, smart defensive player, and capable passer who makes winning plays for his team. With a college-level wingspan, toughness, and a team-first mindset, Riley brings physicality, versatility, and a true winning mentality to the frontcourt.
# 1 Tavaris Tweedie (2027) 6'1, 160lb, point guard - From Norwalk, CT, where he played at Brien McMahon High. He averaged 12.2 ppg, 5.4 rpg 2.5 apg, and 2.0 spg. At 6’1” and 160 pounds, Tweedie combines athleticism and skill with the versatility to play both guard positions. He has a high basketball IQ, attacks the basket with purpose, and loves to get downhill. With a developing jump shot and the ability to create plays, Tweedie brings energy, toughness, and versatility to the backcourt.
# 2 Paul John Delgado (2027) 6'0 158lb, point guard - From Marietta, GA, where he played at Dominion Christian. Delgado averaged 10.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.8 apg and 1.1 spg. A physical left-handed guard, he is crafty and savvy with the basketball and understands how to create opportunities on the floor. Delgado is also highly coachable and brings toughness, skill, and a team-first mentality to the backcourt.
#5 TJ Richardson (2027) 6'5 wing - Richardson is a versatile player known for his high basketball IQ, consistent shot-making, athleticism, and elite defensive ability. Richardson impacts the game on both ends of the floor, consistently making winning plays. During his high school career, Richardson averaged 19 ppg, 7 rpg and 5 apg. His all-around production and continued development earned him Most Improved Player honors, as well as DeKalb County Unsung Player of the Year honors.
#10 Kristian Stewart (2027) 6'3 178lb, guard - Originally from Brooklyn, NY, but played his most recent high school ball at Osborne High (GA) averaging 10.9 ppg, 9.0 rpg, 2.0 apg, and 1.0 blkpg. Stewart is an explosive athlete with a true “dog mentality” and the ability to play all three guard positions. He has range on his jump shot, is at his best on the wing, and brings strong leadership qualities to the floor. He is a strong defender who can guard positions 1–4. Stewart combines athleticism, toughness, versatility, and competitiveness to make an impact on both ends of the court.
#11 Imanuel Humphrey (2027) 6'1 165lb, shooting guard - From Covington, GA, where he played at Alcovy High, averaging 7.9 ppg, 3.4 rpg, and 3.2 apg. Humphrey is a crafty guard who can finish in traffic and plays with great energy, quickness, and competitiveness. His length and athletic ability allow him to make an impact on both ends of the floor. He brings a true “dog mentality” to the court, competing on every possession and giving his team toughness and intensity.
#15 Ahlijah Davis (2027) 6'1, 175lb point guard - From Norfolk, VA where he played at Pebblebrook High. Davis has a college-ready body and brings poise, leadership, and confidence to the point guard position. He possesses a deep shooting range with great elevation on his jump shot and strong perimeter defensive skills. Davis is coachable, hardworking, and capable of running a team while making his teammates better. A great teammate with a high basketball IQ, Davis has the competitive nature that can make a difference at the next level.
