Southeastern Prep Academy Post Grad National (FL) 2026-27 Player Profiles
Southeastern Preparatory Academy is a private school in Orlando, Florida, serving middle school, high school and postgraduate students, and it’s built around the idea that academic achievement and athletic development go hand in hand. The school has made its name mainly through football and basketball, with a strong emphasis on preparing student-athletes for college, both on the field and in the classroom.
The academic side is designed with athletes in mind. Southeastern keeps class sizes small with a low student-to-teacher ratio, and students can take Honors, Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses to earn college credit before they arrive on campus. Its core curriculum is NCAA-aligned, and flexible scheduling lets players stay eligible and on track academically while handling a full training and competition load. The school is also authorized to enroll international students on F-1 visas and issue the Form I-20, and housing and food packages are available for postgraduates.
On the basketball side, Southeastern has quickly become one of the most talked-about programs in the country. Its high school national team, coached by former Duncanville (Texas) state champion David Peavy, went 41-9 last season against a schedule that included IMG Academy, Prolific Prep and DME Academy, and this year the program is joining Overtime Elite, bringing three of the top five players in the 2027 class with it.
Alongside that high school program, Southeastern runs a Post Grad National Team for players who have finished high school and want another year to grow academically and athletically and get greater exposure to college scouts. Southeastern Post Grad National Team is one of five programs in the Showcase Division of the Elite Prep League (EPL) for 2026-27. The Showcase Division teams do not compete in the EPL standings, but are included in the game slate. For college coaches, that puts even more talent in one gym on a given scouting trip. The post-grad team plays an extensive national schedule and is head coached by Jordan Martz.
Martz spent a year on the staff at high-major Creighton in 2016-17, a season in which the Blue Jays went 25-10 and reached the NCAA Tournament, working with future NBA draft picks Justin Patton and Khyri Thomas. From there, he spent two seasons with the Wisconsin Herd, the Milwaukee Bucks’ G League affiliate, before moving to D2 Gannon University, where he helped the Golden Knights to their highest-ever NABC national ranking (No. 21) in 2020-21. His approach goes beyond the court. Early in his career, Martz described basketball as a tool for teaching accountability, responsibility, discipline, and how to handle both failure and success. That mix of high-level player development, recruiting experience and structure is exactly what a post-grad year is supposed to provide.
