Pingree School (MA) 2026-27 College Prospects

Founded in 1961, Pingree School is a coeducational, independent college preparatory day school for grades 9-12, set on a 100-acre campus in South Hamilton, MA, about 20 miles northeast of Boston on the North Shore. Enrollment sits just under 400, with students commuting from roughly 50 cities and towns. Athletics are central to the school's identity: in recent years an average of 25 percent of each senior class has gone on to compete in collegiate athletics.

The boys varsity basketball team competes in the Eastern Independent League (EIL) and plays for a bid in the New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class B (mid-sized) division. Pingree has claimed eight EIL basketball championships since the 1990-91 season.

The Highlanders open the 2026-27 season under new leadership. Dominique Langston takes over as head coach, bringing more than 15 years of experience at the high school and AAU levels. He arrives from The Governor's Academy (MA), where he served as assistant boys basketball coach and helped guide numerous players toward NCAA opportunities. Langston also spent five years at Fairfield Warde High School (CT) as  assistant varsity coach, and he continues to serve as head coach for Team Sims Basketball. 

The Pingree School 2026-27 team will feature the key players profiled below.

Paul Sullivan (2027) 6’3 small forward - Sullivan has great upside and is a multi-sport athlete. He has a great work ethic and will have a key role this upcoming season. 

Sam Welsch (2027) 6’3 guard - Welsh is entering his second year of playing at Pingree . He is an extremely hardworking and positional player. Will be in a leadership position this season . 

Joyce Hernandez (2028) 5'10 point guard - Hernandez is a quick and athletic guard that is a multi sport athlete. He uses his strength to cause havoc in the defensive end and can get downhill with good body control.

Chris Condon (2029) 6’0 point guard, Pingree School (MA) Condon is a quick playmaking guard with great IQ that can really shoot it. He will be a good player to track in the class 29’.
