North Florida Prep 2026-27 Player Profiles

Founded in 2020, North Florida Prep, the Myrmidons*, is a post-graduate men's basketball program headquartered in Jacksonville, FL. The program's stated goal is to prepare student-athletes for the demands of college basketball. It is a post-grad basketball program, not a school. The Myrmidons play a competitive national schedule against college programs, other post-graduate programs, professional teams, and national high schools. Players can spend 10 to 12 hours a day between basketball and continuing their education, and many also work part-time or full-time jobs. 

Program founder, Chris Harris is entering his fifth season as head coach. Before he coached, Harris was a nationally ranked player per ESPN, and he played at or was recruited by programs at every level of college basketball, from junior college to Division I. That experience is the foundation of his pitch — he has navigated the highs and lows of recruitment himself, and he trains and mentors his players with professional-grade guidance both in season and through the offseason. Harris began coaching while still playing in college, leading the Fort Pierce Bucs grassroots program. He moved into post-graduate basketball at TLAP Sports Academy (FL). He also coached at Potter's House Christian Academy (FL) and North Florida Educational Institute before founding North Florida Prep.
