NEPrepBasketball.net Adds the Great Atlantic Conference
The Great Atlantic Conference (GAC) was founded in 2017 to unite similar-mission, strong men's college basketball prep feeder programs from the Eastern United States.
Since its inception, the GAC has been an extremely competitive league and produced a steady stream of collegebound athletes.
The teams' rosters include high talent, high school-aged players, but will also have a large number of post-graduates (student-athletes who have already graduated from high school and are taking an intermediate step between high school and college).
The teams reduce the long game commute issue, by gathering in a single location in three weekends a year. The host team often arranges for the long commute opponents to stay overnight in their campus housing. They play each other once a year for league standings purposes. This year West Nottingham will host the first (December 12-14) and third (January 30-February 1) sessions in Colora, MD and Great Barrington Academy will host the second session (January 10-11) in Great Barrington, MA. West Nottingham will also host the post season tournament (February 14-15)

All of these teams' game results will be included in the National Prep Programs Computer rankings calculations. They collectively play such a wide ranging and high level slate of top competition, their results are very relevant to calibrating and connecting the levels of play from a large number of key regions.
