Greens Farms Academy (CT) 2026-27 Player Profiles
Greens Farms Academy (GFA) is a PreK-12th grade, independent, co-educational day school on a 42-acre campus in Westport, CT, near the Long Island Sound and bordered by salt marsh and Audubon woodland. The campus recently won the American Institute of Architects' Connecticut Treasures Award, a statewide public vote as being the most beautiful educational facility in the state. The school ranking company Niche grades GFA A+ overall and ranks it #5 among Connecticut private PreK-12 schools. Matriculation includes Princeton and Columbia. The Upper School enrolls roughly 350 .
As a basketball program, GFA is an unusual success story. Most top prep programs share a couple of foundational elements. They recruit post-graduates - i.e., older, already-graduated star high school players that are adding a gap year for further development and college scout exposure. They also either have boarding facilities that let them recruit nationally and globally, or they are in a large metropolitan area that generates a deep pool of student-athlete candidates. GFA as none of those factors working for them. It also carries a high academic bar and a hefty tuition, both of which further limit who it can bring into the program. All that being said, from the decade starting 2010, they produced an impressive run of success (five consecutive New England Prep School Final Fours and three championships) and college basketball players. After a post 2020 drought, current head coach, Ryan Errico now has Greens Farms Academy back in the college basketball prospect development game. In 2025, they placed Tyler Vassel (Central Connecticut State) and Brendan Bartley (Clarkson University). The trend is ramping up nicely, as shown in his current roster, as profiled below. Errico's coaching experience spans 13 years: Cranston West High (RI) associate head varsity coach, (1998–2006), Weston High (CT) head varsity assistant, then head coach (2007–2011), Hopkins School (CT) head coach (2018–2024) and Greens Farms Academy head coach (2024–present).
The team competes in the Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) and vies for a bid into the NEPSAC Class B division post season tournament. Last season, they earned the 8 seed in the Class B Large tournament.
Nasir Dunlap (2027) 6’3 wing - 2025-26 All NEPSAC B-Small Honorable Mention. 2025-26 All FAA Second Team. Dunlap is a tough, athletic, and physical wing who impacts the game on both ends of the floor. He is a true three-level scorer with the ability to consistently pressure defenses. He finishes extremely well at the rim, embraces contact, and plays through physicality, while also knocking down the three at an above-average rate. His relentless motor, competitiveness, and nonstop energy separate him from others, as he plays every possession with intensity and purpose. A true gym rat, his work ethic is off the charts and his commitment to improving is evident every time he steps on the floor. Beyond his talent, he is a coachable player who hates to lose and does all the little things that contribute to winning. He leads both by example and with his voice, bringing toughness, accountability, and energy to those around him. Off the court, he is a good student, and someone who consistently represents himself and his team the right way. Zach Fallquist (2027) 6'4 wing - 2025-26 All NEPSAC B-Small. 2025-26 All FAA Second Team. Fallquist is tough, physical and has a relentless competitive edge. He is a high-level offensive weapon who can take over a game in multiple ways. A true gym rat and highly coachable player, he shoots the ball at a very high level with deep range and confidence, while also using his strength and physicality to attack the rim and finish through contact. He is a three-level scorer who consistently puts pressure on defenses and has the ability to fill up the stat sheet. Beyond his offensive skill set, he plays with toughness, energy, and a strong desire to win. He hates to lose, makes winning plays, and competes on every possession. Defensively, his long arms and physicality allow him to guard multiple positions and impact the game on that end as well. Off the floor, he is a high academic student, a natural leader, and a superior young man who consistently does the right thing and represents his family and his community the right way. Krish Dodani (2028) 5’11, 170lb, point guard - 2025-26 All FAA Honorable Mention. Dodani is tough, physical and competes with a relentless motor, he impacts the game on both ends of the floor with his toughness, energy, and aggressive style of play. Offensively, he excels in the mid-range game where he consistently creates and knocks down shots, while also attacking the rim with strength and finishing through contact. He is at his best in transition, playing downhill with pace and putting constant pressure on opposing defenses. Defensively, he is a physical, high-level competitor who creates havoc for opposing guards. He pressures the ball the full length of the floor, disrupts rhythm, and brings nonstop intensity every possession. Chase Gallant (2028) 6'3 wing - Gallant is a versatile, tough and unselfish player who consistently impacts winning. He is excellent in transition and is capable of playing multiple roles, from point guard to small forward. He is a long and physical defender who rebounds, competes and embraces the dirty work. Beckett Seymour (2028) 6’7 forward - Seymour, who is still growing and developing, has tremendous upside. He continues to get better every single day through his work ethic and willingness to improve. He plays hard, competes with an edge, and brings toughness and physicality to the floor every time he steps between the lines. His motor and intensity allow him to consistently impact the game, especially on the defensive end. An excellent rebounder with strong instincts and physical presence, he alters shots around the rim and makes life difficult for opposing players in the paint. Offensively, he finishes well around the basket and continues to develop his post game, showing flashes of a versatile interior skill set.
Austin Heyer (2028) 5’11 point guard - Heyer is a true floor general with an extremely high basketball IQ, he is an extension of the coaching staff on the floor. He controls the pace of the game, consistently makes the right play at the right time, and elevates everyone around him with his leadership and feel for the game. A natural playmaker and decision maker, he brings poise, toughness, and confidence every time he steps on the court. Offensively, he is a high-level shooter from beyond the arc who can stretch defenses and make teams pay from deep. He also attacks the rim aggressively, finishing through contact with toughness and determination. Defensively, he is a menace to opposing guards and sets the tone with his relentless effort, physicality, and competitiveness. Kingstan Scannell (2029) 6’2 guard - Scannell is an elite shooter with deep range and the ability to stretch defenses the moment he crosses half court, he is one of the most dangerous perimeter threats on the floor. Capable of shooting it from anywhere, he has connected on 50% of his three-point attempts throughout his high school career thus far and consistently makes defenses pay with his confidence and shot-making ability. His spacing alone changes the game, but his feel and understanding of how to move without the ball make him even more effective offensively. A true student of the game, he loves being in the gym and is a relentless worker who is constantly looking to improve. Highly coachable and extremely competitive, he has a strong desire to get better and win at a high level. Will Akason (2030) 6’7 forward- Akason is a big, physical player with tremendous upside, he brings the versatility of both a guard and a forward with a dynamic skill set that impacts the game in multiple ways. A true three-level scorer, he shoots the three at a high level, finishes with strength and touch around the rim, excels in transition, and is more than capable of scoring with his back to the basket. His combination of size, skill, and offensive versatility makes him a difficult matchup for defenders at every level of the floor. Beyond his size and skill, he plays with an edge- bringing toughness, physicality, and a competitive mindset that elevates everyone around him. He competes every possession and plays the game with confidence and intensity. Amir Mickens (2030) 6’0 guard - A special, super-talented guard who can truly do it all, he impacts the game in every facet with his athleticism, skill set, and competitiveness. Dynamic offensively, he plays above the rim and finishes through contact with strength and explosiveness, while also showing the craft and body control to score creatively in traffic. He shot over 40% from three and possesses a tremendous mid-range game, making him a true three-level scoring threat who is difficult to contain. In addition to his scoring ability, he handles the ball with confidence and is at his best in transition where his speed, athleticism, and instincts allow him to take over games. Defensively, he is tough, competitive, and capable of guarding opposing guards with intensity and effort. With his natural talent, work ethic, and continued development, he is just scratching the surface of what he is capable of becoming.
