Andrews Osborne Academy (OH) 2026-27 Player Profiles

Andrews Osborne Academy (AOA) located 18 miles up the Lake Erie shoreline from Cleveland in Willoughby, OH, runs a high-level basketball program. It focuses on preparing student-athletes for collegiate and professional play. The program emphasizes development through rigorous training, including multiple practices daily, film sessions, and strength and conditioning.

The team is head coached by Elijah Gore. Coach Gore has a vast amount of experience that expands from grassroots all the way to the NBA. His previous roles include: Associate Head Basketball Coach at South Kent School, Front Office Assistant for the Portland Trail Blazers, Graduate Assistant/Video Coordinator for the University of Connecticut under National Champions Kevin Ollie and Dan Hurley, Video Coordinator for Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Assistant Basketball Coach for Salisbury University under D3 National Champion Josh Merkel, and Assistant Coach at Georgetown Preparatory School for boys. He has helped and coached more than 100 D1, collegiate and professional athletes during his time at these institutions and organizations. The assistant coach is Quinton Wells.

AOA competes in one of the nation's most competitive prep school leagues, the Elite Prep League and plays a national non-league schedule. The team also raises their player's profiles by playing in big exposure events like Flying to the Hoop, Marshall County Hoopfest and the Made Hoops Holiday Classic. Last year, the team was computer ranked as one of the nation's Top 50 teams for most of the season.

The college prospects playing for AOA for the 2026-27 season are profiled below. Early indications is that the team will be another strong one. In their first outings together, they went undefeated in DMV Live Showcase games in June.

Aaron Shoffner (2027) 6'4 wing - Projected as a Low Major level prospect. Currently receiving interest from Army, Navy, Air Force, Hamden Sydney and Randolph Macon. 3.5 gpa

Andrew Nwokolo (2027) 6'7 wing - Nwokolo has great ball skills and athleticism. Projected as a Mid Major level prospect. Currently receiving interest from Kent State and Robert Morris. 3.0 gpa

Dante Otite (2027) 6'10 forward -  Otite has a strong frame that's packed with power and athleticism. He has a soft touch with his jumper, but he's going to catch most eyes with his willingness to run the floor with purpose as guards loft lobs for the big fella to go slam home. He can get his chin on the rim and is always looking to time offensive put-back opportunities with good timing. His ability to command the paint defensively and prove himself as a competent defender in ball screens or in space will only help his case for a rise. Has received multiple D1 offers, including West Virginia, UAB, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Cleveland State, Youngstown, Chattanooga and Alcorn State. 2.5 gpa

Diego Rojas Joy (2027) 6'1 point guard - A post grad guard from the DMV area, Rojas Joy didn't have the recruitment he felt like he deserved after the 2026 high school season.  Rojas Joy stands out as a pick-n- roll ball handler, a playmaker for others and a perimeter shot maker. He is an explosive scorer. Projected as a Low Major/Mid Major level prospect. Currently receiving interest from Columbia, Harvard, Loyola, Appalachian State and Mercyhurst. Plays club ball with WV Gold. 3.8 gpa

Khaliq Carson (2027) 6'1 point guard - Carson is a quick guard who excels at playing at an up-tempo pace. He touches the paint frequently when attacking. He is a threat to score beyond the three point line. Carson seeks out contact when getting to the basket. He might be one of the best on ball defenders in prep basketball. Has been offered by American, Charleston University, Cleveland State, Youngstown State and Robert Morris.  2.9 gpa

Victor Aborowa (2027) 6'7 small forward - Aborowa is a big, physical wing with a great shooting touch. He is a match-up problem. Has received multiple D1 offers, including Kansas State, USF, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Duquesne, Loyola Chicago, UTEP, St Bonaventure, Kent State, UAB, Florida Gulf Coast, Alcorn State, Miami OH, Chattanooga and Youngstown. 3.8 gpa

AJ McGuinea (2028) 6'4 guard - McGuinea is a huge local talent from Bedford OH.  He averaged 27 points last year's state playoffs. He is an extremely athletic combo guard with good feel for playing with others. Projected as a Mid Major level prospect. Currently receiving interest from Robert Morris, Chattanooga, Purdue and Ball State. 3.2 gpa

Tyler Renn (2028) 6'6 guard - Renn has length and size on the wing. He is a great catch-n-shoot threat and can explode off the dribble and get to the rim. He is a willing passer in the lane, competes on the defensive end and has a solid on-floor IQ. D1 upside. Projected as a Low Major level prospect. Currently receiving interest from Indiana State, Robert Morris, Chattanooga, Harvard and Brown. 3.8 gpa

Lazar Tisma (2028) 6'7 forward - Tisma is a pick-n-pop big man from Serbia who has great knack for the ball. He is a very intriguing prospect. Projected as a Low Major level prospect. Currently receiving interest from Cleveland State and Fairmont State. Plays club ball with WV Gold and WIldcat Select.  2.8 gpa

Bob Da Silva (2029) 6'8 small forward - A top 50 2029 talent, Da Silva has all the tools to become a High Major basketball player. He is still growing into a specific position. Has been offered by Indiana, Oklahoma State, Crieghton and Wake Forest and is receiving interest from Texas A&M, Chattanooga and Youngstown State.

Seth Sanders (2030) 6'4 shooting guard - Sanders is an elite shooter from Colorado. He performed very well this summer playing as a freshman with AOA Prep as they went undefeated in June. Projected as a Low Major/Mid Major level prospect. Plays club ball with Indiana Elite. 3.7 gpa
