2026-27 Phillips Academy College Prospects

Phillips Academy of Andover, MA, universally known as "Andover", was founded in 1778, at the height of the Revolutionary War. Andover is generally considered one of the most academically prestigious secondary schools in the United States. It is located 26 miles north of Boston.

Andover's boys varsity basketball team, known as Big Blue, competes in the highly competitive, college prospect saturated, New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class A division.  This past March, Andover was the 3 seed in the NEPSAC post season championship tournament and advanced to the finals, losing to D1 prospect-loaded, Hotchkiss School (CT) 66-54. The team finished the season computer ranked #33 in the nation.

The team is head coached by Terrell Ivory (Andover '00) . Prior to coaching at Andover, Ivory played at Davidson College and professionally in England. He then assistant coached at Blair Academy (NJ) and Colgate University. Ivory is also president of the NEPSAC Mens Basketball Coaches Association. He co-runs the highly regarded NEPSAC Scholastic Live Period Showcases, which are scouted by hundreds of college coaches each June.

Jabari Edmonds (2027) 6’5 wing– 2025-26 All NEPSAC A Honorable Mention. #15 ranked player in Massachusetts by NERR. 2025-26 All NEPSAC A. Edmonds is a strong and physical wing forward from Providence, Rhode Island who averaged 15.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. At 6'5, 205 pounds, he brings excellent size and strength to the wing position and can impact the game inside and out. Jaylen Edmonds (2027) 5’11 guard – Edmonds is a skilled and steady backcourt guard from Providence, Rhode Island who averaged 10 points, 4 assists, and 3.6 rebounds per game last season. He impacts the game as both a scorer and facilitator and plays with strong pace and feel. Edmonds makes good decisions with the basketball, competes defensively, and brings value as a two-way guard. Plays club ball with Basketball Club of Rhode Island.  High gpa    Video highlights 

Jayden Gunby (2027) 6’7 small forward. -A post grad from Cuthbertson High (NC), Gunby brings a rare blend of size, versatility, and activity, playing with a strong motor and finishing well around the rim because of his amazing athletic ability and explosiveness. His standout skill is rebounding. He shows a real knack for pulling boards outside his area and creating extra possessions for his team, which combined with his length makes him a reliable two-way presence in the paint. Has been offered by Dyersburg State.  Plays club ball with Charlotte ACES.  3.8 gpa

Hunter Peabody (2027) 6’2 guard – Peabody is a skilled perimeter guard with a strong academic and basketball profile. He has good size in the backcourt, shoots the ball effectively, and plays with a high level of composure and feel. Peabody consistently impacts winning through his decision making and versatility. Nick Tarro (2027) 6'3 guard - Tarro is a productive and versatile guard from Greenville, Rhode Island who averaged 19.6 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game last season. He impacts the game across multiple statistical categories and plays with toughness and consistency on both ends of the floor. Tarro has good size for a perimeter player, rebounds extremely well for his position, and can create offense for himself and others. 

Kosi Udeh (2027) 6’5 small forward - Udeh has a college-ready frame and the ability to impact a game on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he does a nice job of moving his feet in space, while also using his strength to keep opposing guards off their lines as drivers. Offensively, he can make shots from behind the arc in catch and shoot situations, while also showing the ability to finish around the rim with athleticism. Xavier Howell (2028) 5'11 guard  - Howell is a dynamic ball handler with twitchy movements off the bounce. He's elite at creating space with dribble moves, getting into his scoring package or creating plays for teammates when he gets a piece of the paint. He's comfortable playing off the ball as a shooter and also does a nice job of operating out of ball screens, where he's able to turn the corner at will. Defensively, he's a point of the attack defender that creates plenty of turnovers by getting his hands on the ball in space.  PH profile

Kingston Johnson (2028) 5'9 guard - Johnson is a quick and competitive young guard with strong long term upside. He plays with pace, handles pressure well, and has the ability to create offense with the ball in his hands. Johnson competes on both ends of the floor and continues to develop physically and skill wise heading into the 2026-27 season. One of the younger guards to watch in the class of 2028.

Collin Mburu (2028) 6'4 guard/forward - Mburu is a highly productive young forward from North Providence, Rhode Island who averaged 20.3 points, 7.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. At 6'4, 195 pounds, he combines strength, physicality, and scoring ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Mburu rebounds well, finishes through contact.
