Wilbraham and Monson Academy Has Game
Wilbraham & Monson Academy (WMA) is a prestigious, nationally recognized boarding school with roots tracing back over two centuries, that offers grades 6–12 and a postgraduate year. WMA's history is a combination of two founding institutions: Monson Academy, founded in 1804, and Wesleyan Academy, founded in 1817, which later became Wilbraham Academy. After several decades as rivals, these two boys' schools merged in 1971 to form the coeducational school.
Their mens basketball team is a college basketball feeder program. It vies annually for a seed in the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class AA tournament. In doing so, they face some of the toughest prep school competition in the nation. During the last few years, WMA has sent players to Duke, Kentucky, Indiana, Harvard, Princeton, UNLV, UConn, Cornell, Fairfield, Stetson, Wagner, Columbia, Colgate, Northeastern, Sacramento State, Amherst College (Division III National Champion) and The Citadel.
