Palm Beach Prep's Rapid Rise into the Nation's Top 100
Palm Beach Prep (PBP) is a college preparatory school located in Deerfield Beach, FL. Founded in 2020 by college professors, college basketball coaches, and business professionals, Palm Beach Prep prepares student-athletes for success in college academics, athletics, and the workforce.
Their strong academic program includes coursework in college composition, college mathematics, economics and financial literacy, and computer applications. Their courses prepare students to sit for the College Board CLEP Exam, giving students the opportunity to earn college credits, improve students' college resumes. With day and nearby boarding options, Palm Beach Prep’s students come from near and far.
In their short history, Palm Beach Prep has become a college basketball feeder program, having now helped over 30 student athletes move on to play at the college level, with 22 alumni currently on a collegiate roster. head coach Connor Quigley is entering his 4th season as the head coach at Palm Beach Prep. Coach Quigley has worked closely with student-athletes pursuing collegiate scholarships at all levels. His program focuses on skill development, detailed film study, and a competitive practice environment that mirrors the demands of college basketball. Coach Quigley began his coaching career under the tutelage of Hall of Fame coach Rollie Massimino at Keiser University. He went on to work at Quinnipiac and Palm Beach State before co-founding Palm Beach Prep during the pandemic in 2020.
Coach Quigley's 2025-26 team has started fast, cracking a spot in the National Top 100 prep team computer rankings. #0 Ja’Marcus Johnson (2027) 6’4 guard - A junior who’s leading the team in scoring and 3pt shooting percentage, Johnson is one of the best shooters in the country regardless of class. Had one of his best games against National Top 5, IMG National, with 25pts on 9-13 shooting. Coach Quigley says that Johnson is the most consistent person that he has ever coached. He shows up every day with an intensity and focus well beyond his years. He is 10 pounds of added muscle away from being a nationally ranked prospect. He will be playing with All Ball on the Under Armor Circuit this spring and summer. His season stats to-date: 19.2ppg, 4.5rpg, 2.8apg, 1.8spg (34-72 from 3FG: 43.2%).
#1 Emanu-El Horne (2026) 6’5 shooting guard - A long and athletic shooter with deep range on his 3pt shot, a high level pull-up game, and a dynamic post game. El Horne defends 1-5 and rebounds much bigger than his size. Offensively, he can score in isolation or running off screens, and initiates the offense when his point guard is being denied. He is a late bloomer, will be a great recruit for D1 Juco’s or D2 programs. His season stats to-date: 11.5ppg 8.8rpg 2.8spg.
#2 Jayden Alcine (2026) 6’0 point guard - Alcine is an uber athlete with three-level scoring ability. He is also a high energy, full court defender, has completely taken over a number of games this year with his defensive energy and explosiveness in transition. He has a number of D1 juco programs that are in contact with him, potential to be a D1 player with another year of development. His season stats to-date: 15.1ppg 5.6rpg 3.3apg 2.4spg.
#3 Ben Wigodner (2026) 5’10 point guard - Wigodner is one of the best ball handlers Coach Quigley has seen in Florida Prep basketball in the past few years. He is a strong bodied guard who can really shoot it from 3. Really good at drawing contact around the rim and then finishing with either hand. Wigodner is getting mostly D3 recruitment right now because of his size, but really is a high level scorer against any level. He had 27pts in the last game against Prestige Academy White. His season stats to-date: 11.8ppg 5.2apg 1.0spg.
#4 Scheldon Voyard (2026) 6’5 guard - Voyard is a mid-year transfer from Elite Prep, his PBP teammates would consider him the team's best player. He has really impressed with his mindset and work ethic since joining Palm Beach. He has been comfortable in coming off the bench and earning his role with day by day. He is a tough competitor on defense, explosive athlete, and a very skilled scorer. He’s going to have some big games for PBC in the second half of the season as he gets fully comfortable. A few of the top Florida Juco’s have been monitoring him prior to joining Palm Beach, he’ll have a lot of options by this spring. His season stats to-date: 10.3ppg 4.5rpg 3.7apg 1.3spg.
#11 Enorck Vincent (2026) 6’5 wing - Vincent is a long athlete with a high motor who can make an immediate impact at a D1 Juco next year as a 3&D Wing. He has a great nose for the ball, gets every 50/50 ball and is the team's best offensive rebounder. His season stats to-date: 10.1ppg 7.2rpg 1.6spg.
#24 Dawson Alicea-Perkins (2026) 6’5 guard - Alicea-Perkins is the team's “Swiss Army knife". He defends 1-5 and serves as the vocal leader on both sides of the court. Alicea-Perkins is a high IQ playmaker who’s a great cutter off the ball and consistent finisher around the rim. He is currently a highly touted D3 recruit with the potential to play at an NAIA or JUCO next season. His season stats to-date: 9.5ppg 3.5rpg 2.3apg
