NEPrepBasketball.net Adds the Empire State League to its Coverage

The Empire State League (ESL) plays its first season in 2026–27, and NEPrepBasketball.net will cover it from the opening tip. The new league brings together six prep and postgraduate programs from the New York City area. That part of the prep world has plenty of talent but rarely gets steady coverage. Its programs are independent operations, working to provide an affordable opportunity to worthy college prospects in their area.

The ESL gives those programs a league structure, with standings, a regular schedule of conference games, and a title to play for. Every season, players across the five New York City boroughs and North Jersey go unnoticed because local high sports media is not what it once was. Some players are late bloomers, most come from high schools without much media exposure, and some are using a prep year to catch up academically.

Six programs make up the inaugural ESL. Each name below links to that program's exposure article, which includes a team overview, coach contacts and individual player profiles.
