Kimball Union Academy 2026-27 College Prospects

Kimball Union Academy is a private boarding school located in Meriden, New Hampshire. Founded in 1813, it is the 22nd oldest boarding school in the United States. The academy's 1,300-acre campus is located 12 miles from Dartmouth College.

The Kimball Union Academy boys’ basketball program is a member of the highly competitive New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) AA conference. The program has historically achieved strong seasons that have garnered NEPSAC post-season tournament invites and seeing many of its student athletes land collegiate playing opportunities after graduating from The Hilltop. Many former Wildcat student athletes have played and continue to compete at top DI, DII, and DIII institutions. Recent graduates have moved on to programs such as NC State, William & Marry, Utah State, Towson State, Niagara, Dartmouth, Quinnipiac, Adelphi, Bentley, Lemoyne, Connecticut College, Ithaca, Pomona Pitzer, RIT, WPI, Kenyon, and Dickinson. Some former Wildcats have enjoyed professional careers with Nathan Knight ’16 the most notable, as a he heads into his third season in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves franchise.

The Kimball Union prep basketball team is head coached by Cory McClure. McClure is a veteran of the Northeast basketball landscape as he enters his 30th year coaching young men at the collegiate or prep level.

Adam Anwar (2027) 6'7 forward - A post grad from McHenry High (OH), Anwar is a deadly catch and shoot threat with elite feel, he has excellent range and mechanics from distance, stretching the floor with his pick-and-pop game. He also has a refined low-post game, and a 6’11 wingspan. He plays well out of the slot as a passer, screener, and spacer. He anticipates cutters well and knows how to lead guys to the rim from the middle third of the floor. Projected as an Ivy or Patriot League prospect. Daniel Balde-Hernandez (2027) 6'9 forward - A versatile international prospect who spent time developing stateside at Hoosac School and brings elite experience as a member of the Spanish national basketball program. 2025-25 All Power 5 AAA Honorable Mention. He plays with tremendous motor and physical presence in the paint, crashes the boards with purpose, and brings high-level court awareness on both ends of the floor. Skilled around the rim with the size and athleticism to protect the basket and guard multiple positions, he offers great defensive versatility and high-level international polish. RTB profile 

Jacob Bayer (2027) 6'2 point guard - 2023 Marblehead Holiday Tournament MVP. Bayer is a hard-nosed senior Eastern Mass area product from Bedford, MA. He is reclassifying on the hilltop and the combination of academics and growth on the court will certainly make him an attractive small college prospect. As his ball skills adjust to NEPSAC level competition, he will certainly be a trusted back court contributor to the Wildcats in the coming year. He already possesses a quick trigger from 3pt that has shown to be efficient, and his intangibles are evident every time you watch him play. Always the first to the floor for a loose ball. Thomas McCullough (2027) 5'10 point guard - A post grad from Daniel Madison High (CT), McCullough is a crafty and quick guard with a knack for creating plays. Whether threading the needle to a teammate or attacking the paint himself, he plays with pace and confidence. He’s also a capable shooter off the catch or dribble, providing a reliable scoring option to any offense. Plays club ball with DTX Basketball. 4.0 gpa  RTB profile

Charlie Pomis (2027) 6'5 wing - A post grad from Hersey High (IL). Pomis helped guide his team to an Illinois Sectional Championship and has a multi-faceted offensive game. Attacks to rim without fear, a refined stroke from beyond the 3pt line, and will mix it all up with a productive mid-range game. Receiving MM interest in the Mid-West as well as Ivy and Patriot League interest. Plays club ball for Elevate 17u-UAA  4.0 gpa

Max Sakerwalla-Morris (2027) 6'4 guard - A dual citizen of U.S. and Sweden. Sakerwalla-Morris saw his role with the Wildcats grow as last season moved along. A tough, reliable, intelligent perimeter player with a beautiful shooting stroke. Always going to compete on the defensive side of the ball! Playing club ball with NE Storm 17u-HGSL. High gpa

Ian VanWagner (2027) 6'3 guard - A junior from Potsdam Central High (NY) where he led them to a Section X championship, was named the league MVP and became the school's second highest scorer in school history. He has a pretty jump shot, doesn’t miss when left open, understands how to create space and loves to attack the basket. He is really quick, very smart, and relentless. Ryan Walker (2027) 5'10 combo guard - A post grad from Woodsville High (NH), Walker is a multi-faceted coach's son that brings intangibles and a refined skill set to the program. Projected as a D3 prospect.

Marco Borelli (2028) 5'11 point guard - A steady backcourt playmaker who brings great floor vision, energy, and defensive toughness every time he steps on the court. He understands how to control the tempo, makes smart decisions with the ball in his hands, and excels as a distributor. A relentless on-ball defender who competes on every possession and brings high-level intangibles to the floor.  4.0 gpa   RTB profile

Jackson Green (2028) 6'6 small forward - A dynamic wing from Penfield High (NY) where he earned NY Class AA Tournament MVP and NYSPSHSAA Greater Rochester Player of the Year honors while leading his team to a historic NY State Championship. Green is a versatile three-level scorer with great length and a smooth jump shot who consistently rises to the moment in clutch situations. Highly efficient, athletic, and plays with a relentless motor on both ends of the floor, creating mismatch problems on the perimeter and battling inside on the glass. Video highlights 

Talon Higgs (2028) 6'1combo guard - From the Bahamas, Higgs will be in his second year at KUA and saw a lot of growth last season while battling a senior/post-grad heavy roster. His calling card is his athleticism, motor and willingness to compete. He has a refined shot and fearlessly attacks the rim.

Jackson Perri (2028) 6’1point guar - A transfer from Roxbury Latin School (MA). 2025-26 All Independent School League. #9 ranked player in New England by Prep Hoops. Top New England prospect watch list by NE Basketball Journal. Perri is a dynamic and high-level point guard who plays with a relentless motor and an advanced understanding of pace thriving in a game marked by change of speed, control, and deceptive shifts. He operates effectively out of pick-and-roll actions and is a threat to score from well beyond the college three-point line. Perri’s strength lies in his ability to play off two feet, allowing him to stay poised and balanced in traffic while making accurate reads. He is widely regarded as a high-level prospect.
