IMG Academy Post Grad National is Impressive

IMG Academy is arguably the nation's most famous preparatory boarding school and sports training facility. It is located in Bradenton, FL, about 25 miles across the Tampa Bay from St Petersburg. It is set across over 600 acres and features programs consisting of sport camps for young athletes, adult camps, a boarding school, including a post-graduate/gap-year program, events, professional and collegiate training, group hosting, and corporate retreats.

The IMG Academy basketball experience is an atmosphere that closely mirrors the intensity and schedule of a collegiate program. With availability for 6th grade to Post Graduate student-athletes, IMG Academy has multiple teams available based on age and skill level. The program’s holistic structure and challenging on-court instruction has led to unprecedented team and individual accolades. The program claimed the 2019 GEICO High School National Championship and includes an ever-growing roster of 13 McDonald's All-Americans and 19 NBA draftees. They have placed over 140 basketball student-athletes in college over the last five years, including 80+ Division placements.

The IMG Academy Post Grad National team, profiled below, is their top post grad team. It is head coached by the veteran former college coach, Jim Carr and his assistant coach is Dan "DT" Torres. They play, as the name implies, a national schedule against many of the strongest teams in the nation. This year's team is already off to an impressive start, as captured by the early National Computer Rankings.
