George School Has YoungTalent Running in 2025-26
Founded in 1893, George School is an independent boarding and day school located in Newtown, PA, a Philadelphia suburb. The school enrolls approximately 550 students from grades 9-12. The students are split half boys and half girls with 23 states and 47 countries being represented.
The boys basketball program is a college basketball feeder program. Their alumni have competed at all 3 NCAA collegiate levels. Over the years, graduates have gone on to play in the ACC, BIG10, Big East, CAA, Patriot League, Ivy League and so many more. The team competes in the Friends Sports League (FSL), winning that championship in 2023, and it also competes for a state playoff tournament seed in the Pennsylvania Independent Schools Athletic Association (PAISSA).
The team is coached by Chris Harris most recently coaching at Fordham University. Coach Harris has also coached and served as an Assistant Athletic Director at Cristo Rey Philadelphia High School, Arcadia University, Woodstock Academy (CT) and The MacDuffie School (MA). He also serves as an Assistant Program Director and Head Coach for K-Low Elite on the Adidas 3SSB circuit.
This year's team features some young, but very intriguing prospects as profiled below.
Sebastian Harding (2026) 5'10 point guard - Harding is lightning quick and is a tempo-changing, pass-first point guard. He is an absolute menace in the passing lanes with his catlike reflexes. He gets into the paint, leading to easy drop passes, kick-out passes and floaters. Drawing interest from Low Major D1s. Good gpa RTB profile
Loic Kamatadi (2026) 6'6 forward - Kamatadi has a high motor game and ia an elite rebounder. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in athleticism. He is a very good screener and relentless on the defensive end, very underrated as a shot blocker. He will be a very good addition for D2 or D3 programs.
Frankie Hoynowski (2027) 6'0 point guard. Hoyonowski is a very physical and cerebral guard. A pass-first guard with the ability to knock down the 3 from range. He is an underrated finisher in traffic with a smooth pull up from midrange. He makes his presence felt on the defensive end with his strong body. Coach Harris thinks he will make the perfect point guard for any Ivy and Patriot League school. 4.0 gpa
Jayden Driver (2027) 6'2 guard. Driver is a very good athlete and lives up to his name by finishing above the rim with ease. He is also a good catch and shoot guy, but he is at his best attacking closeouts and getting to the rim. His athleticism and strong frame also enable him to guard 1-3. Projected to be an immediate impact player at the D2 level two years from now.
MJ Thompson (2028) 6'3 guard - Thompson is a 3 level scorer will be a very good combo guard for a mid-major program in 3 years. He is unselfish and a high character player, who is a very underrated athlete and can finish above the rim. His ability to guard multiple positions will make him attractive to mid major programs. Currently drawing interest from Drexel and UPenn. 4.0 gpa
