Boston Trinity Academy (MA) is on the Rise
Founded September 2002 by a group of Boston business men, led by Robert H. Bradley, a wealth management executive, Boston Trinity Academy (BTA) is an independent, non-denominational Christian, coed school in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Boston. It serves roughly 250 students, grades 6-12.
The boys varsity basketball team is now being head coached by Jake Wren. It currently competes in the Mass Bay Independent League and vies for a seed in the New England Prep School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class B division. Coach Wren comes in as a program builder and aspires to move the school up to the NEPSAC Class AA when he can (This year the team was moved up from Class C). Wren is former Community Charter School of Cambridge (MA) varsity head coach. From 2015-19 he was the lead assistant at Dexter Southfield School (MA) which won its NEPSAC Class tournament in 2018. He is also the founder of the South Shore Basketball Club which was merged into the Boston powerhouse program, Expressions. He has since coached in college prep level AAU programs such as Team New England and House that We Built. From 2023 through this past spring he was building a program at Premier Prep (MA) before moving into this opportunity at BTA.
The BTA 2026-27 roster is getting beefed and developed up by Wren for its ascension to a higher level of play, as profiled below.
Mosses Long (2027) 6 '3 wing - Long is a high motor, high IQ, athletic wing that always seems to find the open spots on the floor. He never stops moving and is ultra aggressive attacking the rim. He is a great rebounder and a versatile defender for his size. He will be a do it all Swiss Army knife for BTA this year.
Charlie Kleinsasser (2027) 6'0 guard - Kleinsasser is a high motor guard who plays all over the floor. He does all the dirty work to help a team win, taking charges, diving for loose balls, and is a high level rebounder for his size. He is also a high level defender that is an absolute pest for other guards. He has an improved 3 point shot that should help space the floor offensively.
Max Atchue (2028) 6'3 guard - Atchue is a lanky skilled guard that plays with great pace. He does a good job of getting to his spots and using his great body control to shoot over defenders. He is a high level scorer who can score from all three levels. He does a good job of using his length and feel to get into passing lanes and cause turnovers.
Treshaun Adams (2029) 6'2 point guard - Adams is a shifty guard who has a tight handle with a vastly improved 3pt shot. He is a three level scorer who is very difficult to keep from getting to his spots. He is transitioning into a full point guard role, and is improving as both a distributor and leader. He also is a dawg on defense who picks up 94 feet and can give opposing guards fits.
Ezinna Onujiogu (2029) 6'1 guard - Onujiogu is a lightning quick, shifty guard who can get to the rim at a high rate. He puts pressure on the defense by consistently getting in the paint and being ultra aggressive. He plays with a high motor and is a pest on defense.
Elijah Nolan (2029) 6'1 guard - Nolan is a big bodied guard that plays well above his size. He does a great job of getting to his spots and using his strength and touch to make shots over bigger defenders. He has an improving jump shot and is expanding his offensive game. He is a top flight rebounder for his size and can guard multiple positions thanks to his strength and toughness.
Teddy Klein (2030) 6'0 shooting guard - Klein is an elite shooter that can stretch his range well beyond the three point line, shoot well off the dribble and coming off screens. He does a great job finding open space along the three point line and has a feel and IQ that is well beyond his years. He is just scratching the surface but he has a very high ceiling.
Joshua Daniels (2031) 6'3 wing - Daniels is an ultra athletic wing who plays with a high motor. He has great touch and feel for the game at his age. He does a good job of using his length and athleticism to get to the rim and score over bigger defenders. He is a plus rebounder and defender and has a very bright future ahead.
