2026-27 Berkshire School College Prospects

The Berkshire School is a private, co-educational boarding school located in Sheffield, MA offering grades 9-12, and a post-graduate year. The school's 400 acre campus, set at the base of the Berkshire Mountains, may be one of the most beautiful school settings in the nation. Berkshire's 430 students hail from 30 states and 39 countries.

The first chapter in the over a century-long history of Berkshire Basketball began with the 1913 Greens winning 80-percent of their games. Berkshire competes in the storied New England Preparatory School Athletic Council (NEPSAC) Class A Division. The basketball program that has enjoyed multiple 20-win seasons and has twice achieved the ultimate team prize of winning the NEPSAC Championship.

The boys varsity basketball team is coached by Wilbur Allen. Coach Allen played four years for legendary Temple University coach, John Chaney. His key 2025-26 players are profiled below.

Nikola Bosnjak (2027) 6'9 forward - Bosnjak is joining Berkshire for his senior season from Belgrade, Serbia. Bosnjak is a three level scorer who is expected to have an instant impact for the program. Bosnjak transfers in with a strong academic transcript which should bolster his recruitment.

Brett Eggleston (2027) 6'4 wing - Eggleston is joining Berkshire for a postgraduate year. Eggleston completed his high school career earning Western Slope All-Conference Honorable Mention in Aspen, CO. Eggleston averaged over 10 ppg game shooting 39% from 3. He played this summer with the Mile High Collective out of Denver, CO. Eggleston has the size and frame to guard multiple positions and will stretch defenses with his ability to shoot the 3.

Michael Ervin, Jr. (2027) 6'0 point guard - 2 time Honorable Mention All-NEPSAC, Ervin, Jr. led Berkshire last season in scoring averaging 19 ppg. Ervin, Jr. also averaged 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1.5 steals a contest. He made 70 3 point field goals last season and will eclipse over 1,000 points for his Berkshire career this upcoming season. Cameron Huff (2027) 6'4 small forward - Huff shot 56% from the 2 last season while also gaining efficiency as a corner 3 point specialist. Huff continues to show flashes of offensive brilliance with an old school approach. He developed last season defensively and is capable of guarding multiple positions. He projects as a high academic college prospect. RTB profile

Mikey Mitchell (2027) 6'4 forward - Mitchell joins the basketball program after playing corner back and safety on the football field. On the court, Mitchell guards 4 positions and shows an ability to make catch & shoot 3’s. Mitchell is an athlete who will garner collegiate basketball and football interest.

Roy Rojo Valdez (2027) 6'2 point guard - Roy joined Berkshire after spending time at the NBA Academy in Latin America. Rojo Valdez is hoping for a breakout senior season. Playing through a variety of injuries last year, Rojo Valdez showed the ability to play multiple guard positions. He plays with great pace and is a tremendous competitor. Rojo Valdez has shown an ability to score at all three levels. An exemplary student, his academic ability is worthy of Ivy League consideration.

Joachim Basson (2028) 6'5 small forward - Basson is joining Berkshire from the NBA Academy in Africa. Basson’s frame and wingspan allow him to excel on the defensive end. Basson projects to have an immediate impact on both ends of the floor. His older brother currently plays in the Big East for Xavier.

Griffin Hawley (2028) 6'6 forward - Hawley joined Berkshire with an extensive background playing lacrosse as a defenseman. As a freshman, he showed flashes of an ability to stretch the defense from the top of the key and the corners. Hawley has a natural ability of protecting the Rim. His on court impact is steadily increasing every year. Hawley is an intriguing high academic prospect with two seasons left in the NEPSAC.

Bodhi Cohen (2029) 6'6 small forward - Cohen is joining Berkshire after two standout seasons at Monument Mountain Regional High (MA). Cohen’s intensity and motor immediately get your attention. He has promising positional size. Cohen will space the floor with his shooting ability from 3. Cohen also rebounds well and has the potential to guard multiple positions.
