2025-26 Reason Prep Player Profiles

Reason Prep is a Boston, MA based college athletics prep program that competes against New England prep schools. Their athletes can continue to attend their current high schools or take online classes for academics, but compete in athletics with Reason Prep. The mission is to develop the athletes into successful college athletes.

The basketball team is coached by Timmance McKinney. In 2019, Coach McKinney was the head coach of City on a Hill Charter School varsity basketball team, becoming the Massachusetts's youngest head coach at age 25. Prior to this, he had played for Colorado Northwestern Community College. 

The college prospects on the 2025-26 Reason Prep roster are profiled below.

Elijah Ford (2026) point guard - A great, old school floor general who Coach McKinney predicts will average 6 or more assists per game this season. 

Chinedu Odinigwe (2026) 6'8 forward - Odinigwe has a college-ready body. He is now healthy coming off an ACL injury and will likely average double-digit rebounds

Vincent Osazee (2026) 6'9 small forward - (University of the Pacific commit) 

Caleb Heyward (2027) guard -One of the best shooters in the region last season, He hit 10 3s in a game vs. Newman School AA team last winter.

Harrison Huynh (2027) 6'2 guard - One of the most slept on players in New England. A college sized guard who can score the ball at a high level. Things point to this being a break-out season for Huynh. Stonehill is showing interest. 

Cyrus Katro (2027) guard - A great spot shooter. When he gets hot, he will surprise teams. He typically splashes 3-5 threes a game.

Benjamin Heyward(2029) 6'2 shooting guard - Look for Hayward to have a breakout season, Coach McKinney thinks that he could end up being one of the top prospects in the region. He recently showed his promising tools at the Elite 75 showcase.
