2025-26 Bella Vista Grinds Out Talent
Bella Vista College Prep is a 9–12th grade private school in Phoenix, AZ. It was founded in 2004, first as a middle school then expanding over time. The Bella Vista National Basketball Prep Program has cemented itself as one of the elite programs in the West. Since its inception, both the men’s and women’s basketball programs have risen to the top — winning championships, competing against the top talent in the country, and securing D1 scholarships for dozens of student-athletes.
Bella Vista values on-campus coaches who have a strong foundation in the school's mission and are available to the players throughout the school day. In addition to their commitment to the school’s values, the Bella Vista coaching staff brings extensive high school, college, and D1 experience.
The school features two high level boys teams. Its CIA Bella Vista Nike EYBL squad is currently ranked #9 on ESPN. Its other high profile team competes in the Grind Session. The Grind Session is a winter circuit of elite high school basketball events, featuring national level teams.
Bella Vista Grind is head coached by Adeel Sahibzada. Coach Sahibzada has coached across all levels of basketball. Internationally, he has coached in multiple World Cups for Mali (19u) and Guinea (17u). He has coached in the Afrobasket League for Guinea's Mens team. At the college level, Coach Sahibzada coached at D1 Chicago State, D2 Simon Fraser University) and NJCAA for Daytona State College (Ranked Top 10 nationally) and in the CIS for Ryerson (National Runner up). His AAU team, Texas Impact, won the 17u National Championship last year.
As of March 5, Bella Vista Grind results are third in 3rd in the Grind Session league standings behind Prolific Prep (FL) and Southeastern Prep Academy (FL). They a 11-4 in Grind Session play and 34-6 overall. Their wins include
71-65 Win over #19 ESPN ranked Faith Family (TX)
62-59 Win over #22 ESPN ranked Millennium High (AZ)
80-77 Win over Academy of Central Florida
They lost a close one to #1 ranked Prolific Prep (FL) 69-61 earlier this year.

Rokiem Green (2026) 6'2 guard (San Jose State commit) - Green is a pure scorer at all 3 levels.
Noah George (2026) 6'4 point guard (Northern Arizona University commit) - George is a great leader and an outstanding passer and playmaker.
Jordan Charles (2026) 6'1 point guard (UC Santa Barbara commit) - Charles led Team Canada to an near upset over the USA at the World Cup 19u this past year.
Nyce Bakare (2026) 6'5 wing (UC Berkeley commit) - Bakare is a big time shooter. He is one of the leading scorers in the EYBL summer league play.
Lucas Toukam (2026) 6'8 forward (Northern Arizona University commit) - Averaging close to a double-double in Grind Session play He is a high motor and versatile forward.
Nishayne Sharpe (2026) 6'1 point guard - Nishayne is the younger brother of Shaedan Sharpe of the Portland Trailblazers. He is a playmaker and outstanding shooter. Holds offers from LIU and NIU.
Jelani McCoy (2026) 6'4 guard - McCoy is athletic and a pure scorer. Has been offered by Saint Francis University and Long Island University
Nathan Yambayamba (2027) 6'7 wing - Yambayamba is a great athlete. A sniper, he is shooting 48 % from 3, averaging 5 attempts per game. He is likely a High Major player at the college level.
Jean Victor Ndaiye (2027) 6'11 forward - Ndaiye is a great shot blocker and athlete.
Hassan Abdulkadir (2028) - Abdulkadir is averaging a double-double in Grind Session play. He is projected a be a nationally ranked top 5 player in his class. He is a potential professional player.
Settimo Yugo (2028) 6'9 forward - Yugo is multi-skilled and plays multiple positions. He has a high basketball IQ and is ranked #46 nationally by Rivals.
Jayson Ikani (2028) 6'7 wing - Ikani is also a likely High Major prospect.
